I have more than a testimony.. I have Victory!

My story begins like any other normal human... I was born. Little did I know my life would take a drastic turn. My parents separated when I was eight. My siblings choose to stay with my mother.  Most people ask me why I choose to live with my dad. I'd say it was God ordained. This choice brought me to New Orleans where my dad met Ron Borison. He invited me to church. His family picked me up on their way to every church service. Soon, I was baptized with about thirteen other people one bright and clear Sunday Morning. A few months later , at senior youth camp, I received the Holy Ghost. I had no idea where God would take me but I knew he had some great plans for me and I wanted every part in it! This wonderful day didn't make my life instantly perfect but it revealed my real purpose! I faced many struggles like not having my family around but God came through!

Philippians 4:19

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I gained a whole church family! God sent Godly people to help lead me at a very young age and helped shaped me into the person I am today. I was molded like a potter molds clay. I've sacrificed nothing in comparison to such a great life I have. God has entrusted me to teach a Sunday School class, coordinate youth music, and so much more. The Devil wanted to ruin my life as an eight year old girl but failed miserably. God always reigns victorious!

Romans 8:35-39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It adds up!

Life.. It's full of unexpected twist and turns. It's hard to predict tomorrow. I didn't know the challenges I'd face yesterday would put me where I am today. Realize in a day the importance of little changes. I compare myself now to this time last year. Changes in things like my confidence, my relationships, or my walk with God. I didn't  realize the little choices made day by day brought me closer or further to who I am now and who I will be in a little time! These little insignificant choices add up. It soon becomes very significant. Doing the right thing in smallest situations matters! It will add up and will become important.

"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending. "
Carl Bard

Those unexpected twist and turns don't have to be so daunting. Take it a little at a time because the little things sure do add up! Yesterday's choices are already decided but today's are in decision. One step in front of the other till we make it it to our goal.  Lets make Heaven our home and take each choice we face as the next step towards our goal!

This has been a random rant.  I hope my bad grammar doesn't offend my readers!

Since We Last Met

It has been an unexcusably long time since I have posted anything! I am not going to attempt to catch you up on everything going on since Thanksgiving but here are some highlights of my life since we last met!
In January I was inspired to sew my very own dress! I spent many pain staking hours on it. It was a fight! From sewing a pocket closed to pricking my finger with needles, the battle was evident! I persevered none the less. How many other people can answer the question: " Hey! Where did you buy your outfit?" Me: "Oh this? I made it myself!"

          What an accomplishment! Hah!!

Oh, how I love my church. It is the highlight of my week and I look forward to every service! I am thankful for men of God who hold steadfast to truth and preach it! Thank you Pastor and thank you Bro. Kevin!

More has gone on but I will not cram it into one post. This for the sake of both you and me! Here is an inspirational quote!

       Thanks for visiting, Gotta run!

Operation Crafts ThanksGiving

This year was not a normal Thanksgiving! Why is that you ask?Let me tell you!!
I cooked an entire Thankgiving dinner for the first time! .....Yay!

It took up much of my time..

My dog proved to be more anxious and hungry than my family was...

I forgive you little pup..

My dog thinking up another way to get her grub on..

Southern creamy mashed Russet potatoes.. Yummy!!

Here's my dad's plate. Look at that beautiful peice of Cajun Turkey! No. I didn't cheat and buy pre made spicing or gravy. I managed to make my own from scratch!
The orange you see on the plate is Carmalized Butternut squash! My first time cooking this veggie and absolutely not my last!

This is a Lemon Meringue Pie. I ate a peice and my dad finished the rest off that night!

.. In the end, everything proved worth the time!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Blessed

They way God deals with man is .. Simply told.. Amazing! How can a God be so strong yet so gentle. Sometimes I can't get over the fact that he loves his people so much! His timing is always perfect. His strength is perfect. He is patient despite the fact he has the ability to get what ever he wants when ever!! How can I not brag of Jesus? :D He always wants the best for me even when I make a mistake or a foolish decision. I am blessed beyond anyway of expression!! Anything I can say right here....  Is little compared to how much I've been given. I serve a GOOD GOD.
     - A thought of mine

   -Recently-
I couldn't get to sleep the other night and for some strange reason and I woke up exceptionally early...like 5 o'clock in the morning early! I suppose waking up at the break of dawn isn't so bad after all... My heavy eyes quickly vanished as I jumped into decent clothing and ran into my front yard to take pictures of the beautiful sky!

*sigh* Just look at those colors!

I am also stepping out of the normal Monday night meal to try something new..
          Cawslaw!!
This is simple and so yummy. A perfect side dish!
(Sorry, this doesn't look as good as it tasted)

If you have any recipe recommendations why not comment below.
